Lund Moves into ‘Spectacular’ Office Space

CHICAGO, IL (June 20, 2008) — Lund and Company Invention, L.L.C. announced today that they have expanded their operations and moved into a spectacular new 5,500 square foot office space in River Forest, IL. According to L.L.C. founder Bruce Lund and the architectural firm involved in the project, Ridgeland Associates Inc., the building has been completely gutted and remodeled for use as an office and toy design and invention laboratory.

“The building combines a fun open central core, shop and private work spaces with a formal presentation conference room and business offices,” commented Rick Razniewski, design planner and project manager at Ridgeland. “A key element of the design that we were really excited about was the incorporation of the Lund lightning bolt logo into the core plan and adjacent walls. You have to see it to believe it!”

A key design objective of natural lighting was achieved through glass doors opening to the exterior court from the shop and open core, according to Razniewski.  More interior spaces are naturally lit by skylights and sky tubes. The use of mirrors, installation of a climbing wall, funhouse features, and other design elements that can only be discovered by visiting Lund and Company Invention, L.L.C. contribute to the overall feeling of a fun, creative space.

“We believe that our environment has a powerful effect on our work, our emotional state, our enjoyment of life,” Bruce commented. “We have created an award worthy studio and office environment to enable and inspire each one of us to do the best work of our lives. When all the details are complete it will be a place of wonder and magic, a place to bring out the best in all of us, and a place to inspire our clients and others to join with us to create, and bring to market, great products — making the world a little better place for us all!”
